The cuts are sexy, but the shape of our signature open seams mixed with our high-quality fabric are geared to make every woman feel beautiful no matter her body type,” says Miro. “It also feels pretty special knowing that you can look good wearing a sustainable brand.” In addition to swimwear, she’s also created transitional pieces to complement the bathing suits. Miro has also sought to employ that same sustainable philosophy in her swimwear. “I’m from San Francisco and was raised in a world where we don’t waste, where we recycle and where we choose to walk over driving 99.9% of the time,” says Miro. “I fell in love with vintage and thrifting when I was 13 and that completely changed the trajectory of my wardrobe.” Currently, Miro has gone to great lengths to be ethical and sustainable throughout her supply chain. In addition to using organic and deadstock fabrics, as well as materials and trims that are made and purchased in Los Angeles, she also works with family-operated sewing partners that pay living wages, limit all local production within a 15-mile footprint, and minimize harmful dyes and over-usage of water. The small-batch production rounds promote zero-waste and have a 100% sell-through. “The list goes on,” says Miro. “And as we scale, staying eco-conscious remains top priority.”
