Third, those bombers are strategic bombers, designed to drop nuclear weapons (although they can drop conventional weapons), and as such are part of our nuclear deterrent stance. We can’t devote them to a mostly symbolic drop of supplies (roughly 70 tons of food a day would be symbolic; that’s about three and a half trucks’ worth).
Secondly, NATO doesn’t have stealth bombers – the United States does. A whole whopping one squadron of them. That’s about 20 aircraft that can deliver 20 tons of ordnance (which would mean considerably less in terms of supplies, once you designed in the necessary parachute systems – say about 10 tons per day, per plane, if we rapidly developed “cargo pod bombs”), depending on availability (and only about ⅓ would be able to fly one mission each day on a sustained basis).
Fourth, as these are bombers, the Russians would be 100% in the right (and 100% correct) to engage these bombers heavily and attempt to shoot them down. These are combat aircraft that were explicitly designed and built to deliver nuclear weapons to Soviet (i.e., Russian) targets. Introduction of these would be a unilateral escalation on the part of the US that would blow right past “introducing US combatant forces” and into “introducing US nuclear combatant forces”.
